Royal Adelaide Show part 2

How do I say this nicely - the Royal Adelaide Show seems a little more. . . high end. . . than the Iowa State Fair. The entertainment and exhibits seemed a little more polished and a little less (no hate mail please) redneck-y than what we've seen at the Iowa State Fair. I'm not saying one is better than the other - just pointing out the differences I saw:)

When we first arrived, we attended a show called Lights, Camera, Action, which celebrated different genres of movies. The show designers must have been close in age to Kedron and me, since there were lots of 80's references - Michael Jackson music, the Top Gun soundtrack, etc.

Their ode to superheroes:

This was from the 'spy movies' genre - apparently James Bond must also be an aerial artist. . .

A unique bird made out of flowers, in the amazing floral creations section:

These are the Zimbabwe Brothers - they did acrobatic stunts and also jumped through hoops of fire. They made me gasp several times!!

In the grandstand area in the evening, we watched a couple acts, including this group of precision car drivers. It doesn't look all that impressive in photos, but in person it was pretty cool! Oh, and did I mention that all the grandstand acts are free? You don't have to pay extra to see any of the entertainment acts at the Show.

And - these guys. My boys have been officially forbidden to ever do this, ever.

One more Show post to come - including our brush with Australian celebrity :)
