Train-ing

Today we visited a possible preschool for Micah to attend in the fall. As we discussed the visit tonight at dinner, Micah was less than thrilled with the thought of going to preschool.

Mommy: "But Micah, you could play with kids and make new friends."

Micah: "And I could color?"

Me, enthusiasm growing: "Yes! And you'll sing songs and read stories, and learn about Jesus. . ."

Micah, interrupting: "And THOMAS??

Becoming more self-sufficient by the day

The boys and I have enjoyed some outside shoveling time the last 2 mornings. Yesterday each boy even put on his own hat all by himself. . .

Handsome Faces

"It's too SCARY!"

This is Eli's latest catch phrase. Yes, our sweet boy is easy going, but apparently also easily scared. Here are a few things that bring on this phrase:

1. Daddy's black trenchcoat. While I think my husband looks absolutely dashing in this coat (not joking - really, he looks hot!!), Eli hates it. The first thing Kedron hears every day when he walks in the front door is Eli saying, "I don't like that coat."

2. Micah's play dough octopus toy (sorry the image is so big - I can't shrink it). Eli hates the big, ominous eyes. And don't even THINK about having him watch when the play dough squeezes out the front.

3. Ventriloquist dummies. Enough said.

4. Mr. Noodle from Sesame Street. I guess he is a little creepy.

Poor little Eli. Hopefully this phase will pass soon.

Hands Full

We had fun seeing all the Govigs this weekend. Here are my Mom and Dad with their 5 grandkids: Lauren (5), Micah (3), Meredith (1 1/2), Kyler (2), and Eli (almost 2) - matching shirts not planned :) I hope they have room for one more - Kyler will be a big brother later this year!!

I'm still here

We're still having some small computer issues, plus I've taken no pictures nor done anything interesting this week. Plus not blogging is actually a little bit refreshing :) But I'll be back to it soon.

We will be taking an unplanned fast from computers this week. Before you think it's just my anti-technology side flaring up, let me say that our computer completely died yesterday. It will be a week until our new one is hooked up (I snuck over to Ked's office today to check email - but won't be able to do this regularly, if at all). So. . . no cute pics of the boys this week.

Now. . . I am going to go enjoy my week of actually speaking to people :)

I Love Little Boys in Jammies: Thomas Edition

Thanks to Nana B for Eli's pj's, and Grams (my grandma) for Micah's! On a super snowy morning, they are just right!

Now, I know that the boys always look the same size when they sit next to each other. This is what happens when your older son is super small (not even on the growth percentile chart) and your younger son is of average size. For the record though, Micah is about 5 inches taller, which you can tell when they are standing.

Hmm .. . where are the boys??
