Belated Cousin Visit Post

Several weekends ago in September, the boys got to host their cousins for an overnight stay!  Kyler and Kale came to visit us while their parents got away for a night.  The boys were SO good together!  I even told Kedron I could be persuaded to have 2 more kids if I was guaranteed that they'd always act as good as these four did (however, since there are no guarantees we will not be going that route :).

Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE little boys in jammies?  Here they are:  Kale (2), Kyler (5), Micah (6), and Eli (4).

The next morning we went to the park!

This was a REALLY tall slide; so Kale and I did a practice run together before I let him try it with the boys.  Can you see the delight on his face?  He obviously wasn't intimidated by this big slide. . .

And my favorite pic from the weekend:  The boys were playing with some nerd glasses.  Kale wanted to wear some too, but he put them on upside down.  What cute nerds :)

Kicking Off The Soccer Season!

Micah and Eli are doing soccer for the first time this fall.  After Game #1 today, I can report that it's simultaneously entertaining, heartbreaking, amusing, and frustrating to watch kids this age attempt to play soccer.

Here's Eli, right before his foot slipped off the ball and he landed on the ground.  Love that tongue!

Highlights of Game #1 include Micah screaming "We got a goal!" for all to hear, when, in fact, the OTHER team got a goal, and Eli kicking his shoe right off his foot after he kicked the ball.  I think in the wrong direction.
