If I drop one more thing on the floor. . .
Isn't it ironic: During late pregnancy it's hardest to bend/stoop/crouch, BUT, during late pregnancy, I am also more clumsy than I've ever been!

Baby Shower in July
I haven't gotten the chance yet to share some pictures from my shower back at home in late July. I couldn't believe how many nice things I got! My mom Kathy, sister Melanie, aunt Karlee, and cousin Meagan threw me a wonderful shower! Here are some pictures:
Here's me with Aunt Rosie and Grandma Govig.

My sister set up a craft project for everyone! All the shower guests got to decorate a onesie for the baby with fabric paints and stencils. Here's my Aunt Beth making hers.

Here are the finished products!

This is my friend Terra. We have known each other since we were babies. We both got married 4 years ago, about 3 weeks apart. Now we are due 2 weeks apart!

Let's play . . . Guess that Baby!
All right ladies and gentlemen, it's time to wage your bets on when Baby Bardwell will make his/her arrival. To play, leave a comment with your guesses on the baby's gender and on what day he/she will be born. You can use these "clues" to make your bet:
1) The baby is definitely a boy or a girl (ha ha)
2) Rachel's due date is August 23rd
3) There is NO chance that it's twins
The person whose guess is closest will ACTUALLY GET TO NAME OUR BABY!! Just kidding; all you get is the thrill of bragging rights in the "Comments" section :) Have fun guessing and good luck!

My bowling ball belly
I feel like I have a bowling ball strapped to my mid section. And considering I've gained most of my weight in my belly (minus the water weight gain in my ankles), this is a pretty fair statement. Most of the time I can actually handle this, but sleeping has become very unenjoyable. And this is sad since I enjoy sleep so much :) It's not that it's painful to sleep, but just constantly uncomfortable. For the last 2 nights in a row, I have had to get up and either watch TV or move to the couch since I can't sleep and don't want to wake up Kedron.
My problem is twofold: 1) I have to get up to use the bathroom. Usually I can do this without really waking up completely, so it's easy to go back to sleep. However, my body is in such a state of discomfort that it wakes me up completely when I roll out of bed. And, 2) then my mind starts racing with all the things that pregnant women think (how many baby preparations still need to be made, when is this baby coming, will labor hurt, etc.) and then that keeps me up even longer. I am trying all the tricks I know (sleep with a pillow between knees, etc). Moms out there, do you have any suggestions for me?
