Words

Micah's vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. Every day he has at least 1 new word. Yesterday, he said 4 new words: pink, mail, bag, and bean. Good job Micah!

What Micah is in to

Our little boy will be two years old in a month! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Here's what our little sensitive intellect is into these days:

  • Tractors, cars, airplanes, school buses, trains, and any other form of vehicle.
  • Reciting his ABC's.
  • Farm animals. The county fair this week has been a blast.
  • Diego and Dora.
  • Fans. He has a SERIOUS obsession with them. Don't ask why. We don't know.
  • Numbers. He can count to 4.
  • Holes. He still falls asleep every night with his finger stuck in a peg hole in his crib.
  • Hot air balloons, of course!
  • Hurley (teddy bear) and Blanket (not to be confused Michael Jackson's son).

RAGBRAI

RAGBRAI descended on Indianola this past Tuesday night. I have never seen so many people on the town square at once. Since none of the 3 Bardwell men had experienced the madness, we vetured out in the late afternoon. There were crazy bikers and food vendors galore! Here we are enjoying our dinner. Micah was such a big boy; he sat right next to Mommy and Daddy on the ground and ate his hot dog.

Buxton Park was FULL of campers and tents.

Eli looked super cute in his hat!

One of the many "support" vehicles parked around town. It's pretty clear what this vehicle is supporting. . .

I'm 3 months old!

I am really a wonderful baby. I’m consistently sleeping through the night. When I’m not sleeping, I’m probably smiling! I can focus my eyes and follow objects really well now. I also have discovered something wonderful – my legs! When I’m lying on my back, I point them up towards the ceiling and then drop them down hard! What fun! I also went to my first wedding this month and also traveled to visit Nana and Papa B in Nebraska. I went to the zoo too with the Govigs – although I slept pretty much the whole time. I coo a lot. I do have a problem scratching my face. No matter how frequently Mommy cuts my fingernails, I manage to claw myself all the time. When I get upset (which isn’t that often), I scream REALLY loud- much louder than my brother, I’ve been told. Speaking of my brother, he makes me smile a lot!
