Bardfeld
Disclaimer: These really are videos about nothing. Micah hops cutely in one; Eli smiles cutely in the other. That's it. Watch if you dare.

Why don't I just put on my mom shorts and join the AARP
So I went shopping on Saturday. I was in Younkers, wandering through the Juniors section. I realized that everything looked too young for me. After all, I am a mature 34 years now and it seems kind of pathetic to be shopping with the teeny boppers and/or sorority sisters. The problem is, I'm so small and short that I have a hard time finding clothes that fit me properly outside the juniors section. So I walk over to the women's section and notice a clearance rack with some nice looking (and deeply discounted) clothes on it. I start pulling off some cute printed shirts, jackets, etc. to try on. I reflect on my current wardrobe at home, and it's mostly solid color clothes. Prints are "in" right now, so I keep pulling shirts off the rack to try on. Maybe the women's section will work for me after all! After collecting several items, I notice that some SENIOR CITIZEN WOMEN are also pulling clothes off the same rack to try on! And I'm not talking a hip, barely 60 woman. We're talking grey/blue haired women at least in their 70's, maybe older. AHHHH!

And so it begins
We've been really lucky so far to not have any of those "toddler disaster" moments. Like where you walk in the room to find that your child is feeding your shampoo to the cat, or you find the contents of the sugar bowl dumped on the floor. Well, today I was unloading the dishwasher and what did I find? A rock from our landscaping in the silverware holder. Here we go!

I'm 5 months old!
This month, I’ve actually been a little bit crabby! I know that’s hard to believe from all the sweet pictures that Mommy posts. I’m not sleeping as well as I used to – I often wake up overnight and need to have the pacifier put in my mouth to fall back asleep. I am napping OK; when my schedule isn’t disrupted then I nap quite well. I love to roll! I do very well on my tummy and am starting to lift my chest off the floor. I also love to sit in my exersaucer. I’ve been to the chiropractor several times this month because my head always leans to one side. The adjustments have helped, but I still need lots of tummy time to make my neck muscles strong. I love to grab at things! I always have my hands or a toy in my mouth. I am drooling a lot, but I don’t have any teeth yet. I love to watch our cat Loco run around. My brother really cracks me up too. I tried rice cereal for the first time – it will take some getting used to. I guess all tastes are acquired tastes, right?

Ups and Downs
'Micah at Age Two' has not been the easiest of stages in the Bardwell household. There have been lots and lots of whining, tantrums, crying, etc, from our very egocentric son. God forbid the cereal gets on his spoon the wrong way, he doesn't like the fabric of his shirt, or needs a diaper change.
Here's a throwback to exactly one year ago - a sweet memory to get me through the terrible twos and remind me that my boy is really a gentle sweetheart :)
