Eli Hates. . .

Eli has been fascinated with the word 'hate' recently.  Today I told him, for the dozenth time, that it's not a nice word and I don't want him to say it.

His response:  "I hate when I say hate."

What do you say to that??

Micah's graduation

OK, I'll acknowledge that it's rather ridiculous to have a formal graduation ceremony for a bunch of 4 year olds. BUT, my indignation won't stop me from posting the pics :)

Can you find Micah in this picture?  Hint:  the blondest kid. . .

I'm not sure why the shortest and tallest kids in the class were paired together, but here's Micah and his classmate saying their memory verse. No, that kid is not standing on a stool.  He's really that tall (and Micah's really that short).

Mrs. Weitzel, Micah, and Mrs. Scott.  What wonderful women these two are!

The 2 BFFs:  Micah and Vivi.

And don't forget little brother. . .

Florida Trip 6

I have so much other blogging I could be doing, but I feel the need to finish up our Florida trip.  On Saturday, Kedron made the decision that we should drive to see the ocean!  Honestly, I was a big old grump about it:  "the water will be too cold; the boys will be overwhelmed by the waves and water; they won't like the gritty sand; etc."  As you can see from these pictures, I was clearly right. . .

OK, OK, I was wrong. We had a GREAT time!  With all the super-detailed planning we'd done for the trip, it was kind of fun to make a spontaneous little trip to the ocean!

Thank you, Florida, for a wonderful family vacation!

Florida Trip 5

Finally, after 1 1/2 Disney-focused days, it was time to crash and spend some time at our beautiful hotel.  Here are the boys (in their jammies) on our deck.

Here's the awesome view of the rest of the hotel from our deck.  Thank you, Simpson College, for the opportunity to stay in a hotel that was above our budget!!

Here's the view of the pool/lazy river from our deck.

So. . . Ked was off to his conference, and the boys and I finally got to check out the pool.  I purchased a bunch of gifts for the boys at the dollar store before we came, and let them open a new one each day.  This day's gift was a floaty ring and goggles for each boy.  Those floaty rings were the best $2 I've probably ever spent.  The boys LOVED them!!

We must have floated through the lazy river maybe 12 times.  It was so much fun!!

Here is one of the "cats that spit water," according to the boys.  They boys had to be steered clear of said cat at each bridge so they wouldn't get wet. . . yes, I know they were already wet as they were IN the water, but you can't reason that way with a 3 and 4 year old. . .
